Reducing Barriers

“High-speed internet is as fundamental as electricity, heat, and water”

- Governor Janet Mills

Today, the internet is critical infrastructure that is relied upon by businesses, schools, hospitals, governments, and people everywhere. Maine’s economic future will depend on its ability to offer high-speed connectivity that is universally available throughout the state. Beyond our investments made directly towards building infrastructure deployment and last mile connections, the Maine Connectivity Authority is pursuing a number of initiatives to facilitate accessibility, affordability, and adoption of broadband internet.
